THE LIZARD AND THE TOADA lizard and toad were out looking for food. As they approach the corner of ahouse, they both saw fly on the ground at the same time. The fly, to them, wasfood. So engrossed were they with the fly that they failed to notice each other.Immediately the lizard leaped towards the fly, hoping to catch the fly in its mouth.The toad shot its tougue out at the fly in its mouth, hoping to catch it too.Everything happened quickly.Alas, the fly as very alert. It was able to avoid both the leaping lizard and theoutstretched toad’s tougue. The tougue missed the fly and caught the lizard.Both the lizard and the toad thought they had caught the fly. When they tried toswallow their “fly” they found it too large. Only after while did they realize theirmistake.
